For a solo US travel advisor, TravelJoy is cheaper: TravelJoy Pro billed annually is $384 a year against $468 for Travefy Core billed annually. For a three advisor agency the two tie to the dollar at $948 a year, TravelJoy Premium on its first year annual rate against Travefy Core with two additional seats at $20 each. From six advisors up, Travefy is the only one of the two with a published answer, because TravelJoy shows its team seat price only inside the app. On features the split is clean. Buy TravelJoy if client payments, group bookings and texting clients run your week. Buy Travefy if the itinerary is your sales document and you want a website and landing pages included in the base plan.
Every price below was read off TravelJoy's pricing and Premium pages, its help center, and Travefy's pricing page from a US connection. Where either vendor does not publish a number, this piece says so rather than filling the gap.

Two things in that table change the answer more than the headline prices do. Travefy advertises its annual price and does not print the monthly one, so a month to month Travefy subscription costs more than $39 by an amount you only see at checkout. And TravelJoy's $79 Premium rate is an introductory discount for the first year, with no published renewal rate. The full TravelJoy breakdown, including every add-on and the processing fee math, is on our TravelJoy pricing page.
Which is cheaper, TravelJoy or Travefy?
It depends on how many advisors you are paying for, because the two vendors build a team price in completely different ways. Travefy prices the account and then discounts every additional seat to a flat $20 a month on Core. TravelJoy prices plans, bundles two Pro team memberships and an assistant into Premium, and sells any other team seat at a discounted rate it does not publish.
| Team size, annual billing | TravelJoy | Travefy Core | Travefy Premium | Cheaper |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 advisor, 12 trips a year or fewer | $228 on Starter | $468 | $708 | TravelJoy, by $240 |
| 1 advisor, full time | $384 on Pro | $468 | $708 | TravelJoy, by $84 |
| 3 advisors plus an assistant | $948 on Premium, first year | $948 | $1,644 | A tie |
| 6 advisors | $948 plus three seats at the in-app rate | $1,668 | $3,048 | Travefy, unless the TravelJoy seat is under $20 |
The six advisor row is the one worth doing yourself. Travefy Core for six is $39 plus five seats at $20, which is $139 a month or $1,668 a year. TravelJoy Premium covers the first three people for $948, so for TravelJoy to come in cheaper, each of the other three seats would have to cost less than $20 a month: $720 left over, divided by 36 seat months. That is exactly the Travefy seat price, which makes the comparison a single question for TravelJoy's sales team. Ask for the team seat quote before you migrate anyone.
The tie at three advisors deserves a second look too, because the two $948 bills buy different things. The TravelJoy figure includes an assistant account, SMS texting with clients, the Zapier integration and email marketing. The Travefy figure includes a website and landing page builder and commission tracking in the base plan, plus the per seat structure that keeps the fourth and fifth hire cheap.
Is TravelJoy better than Travefy?
TravelJoy is better for advisors whose week is dominated by clients and money: intake forms, invoices, payment collection, travel insurance, authorizations, messaging and group bookings, all in one inbox. TravelJoy publishes its card processing rate, 3.5 percent plus 30 cents on Pro and Premium and 5 percent plus 30 cents on Starter, with bank transfers at 1.5 percent and 3 percent, and it lets you pass the fee to the client as a convenience fee where your state allows it. For an advisor collecting planning fees and deposits online, that transparency is a real reason to choose it.
Travefy is better for advisors whose itinerary is what sells the trip. Travefy's Core plan bundles the itinerary and proposal builder with a CRM, forms and automations, invoicing, commission tracking, a website and landing page builder, the traveler apps, email integration and AI content import. The builder is what Travefy is known for, and the included website matters to a new advisor who otherwise buys one separately. A website only earns leads if something new goes on it, and most advisor sites stall after the launch month, which is where an AI writer that keeps a destination blog publishing earns its keep. Travefy's pricing page does not publish a processing rate, so ask before you compare payment costs line by line.
Neither is better for everyone, and the honest test is not a feature list. Take the messiest trip on your desk, build it end to end in each trial, and time it. TravelJoy gives you 7 days and Travefy 10, which is enough for one real proposal each.
TravelJoy vs Travefy for a new travel agent
A brand new advisor has three realistic entry points. TravelJoy Starter at $19 a month is the cheapest, but it stops at 12 trips a year and leaves out automations and group bookings. Travefy's New Travel Agent Program at $25 a month is aimed squarely at people entering the industry and is $300 a year. TravelJoy Pro annual at $384 is the cheapest plan with no trip cap.
Before paying for either, read your host agency's inclusion list. Many US host agencies now include a booking portal, client management and an itinerary builder in the membership fee, and a new advisor who buys a second CRM on top of the host's is paying twice for the same records. If the host covers client records and payments, the only gap worth buying is the one that makes your proposals better, which usually points to Travefy. If the host covers booking but not client payments, TravelJoy fills the more expensive gap. Our breakdown of travel agent software prices all five parts of the stack side by side, host portal included.
TravelJoy vs Travefy for an agency
For an agency owner the decision turns on control and on the seat price you can get in writing. Travefy's agency setup adds commission and revenue reporting, a shared template and content library, centralized supplier management, agent onboarding and team controls, monthly agency reporting, a dedicated account manager and access to the CRM API, sold through Travefy sales. TravelJoy teams get shared templates, teamwide commission reporting, default commission splits and payouts, trip collaboration and the ability for the owner to work inside any team member's account.
TravelJoy also puts two rules on teams that matter when you plan headcount. The owner decides per invitation whether the agency pays for a seat or the advisor pays their own, and seats the owner pays for are prorated into the owner's billing cycle. And team membership is limited to verifiable employees or independent contractors of the owner's agency, so a loose collective of independent advisors cannot pool into one team for the discounted rate. Travefy states no equivalent restriction on its pricing page.
If you are pricing a third option alongside these two, AXUS Travel App charges a flat $329 per seat per year with a 14 day trial, and its annual terms carry a cancellation penalty worth reading first on our AXUS Travel App pricing page. The seat by seat math for Travefy alone is in Travefy pricing.
Can you switch from TravelJoy to Travefy, or back?
Yes, and the cost of switching is time rather than fees. Neither vendor publishes a migration charge. What moves slowly is the client history, the templates you built and any trip in progress with money attached. The safest pattern is the one agencies use when they change any system: run new trips in the new platform from a set date, finish in flight trips where they started, and export the client list once the last deposit on the old platform clears. Both trials are short, so start the trial when you have a real trip to build, not when you have a free afternoon.
What neither TravelJoy nor Travefy does
Both products are administration and presentation layers. They hold the client, format the proposal, collect the payment and track the commission. TravelJoy's Copilot turns your notes and prompts into a tidy, client ready itinerary format, and Travefy imports content with AI. Neither one decides what a nine day Portugal trip for a couple with a $6,000 budget should contain on day three, which restaurants are worth the walk, or whether the day trip to Sintra fits the budget. That research is where an advisor's evenings go, and it is the step both platforms assume you have already done.
That step is what TripAgent.ai covers. You describe the client and the trip, meaning destination, length, party, total budget and style, and it writes a day by day itinerary with morning, afternoon and evening blocks, a cost on every line, travel times between stops and a total against the budget. You cut what does not suit the client, ask for any day to be rewritten, and carry an edited draft into TravelJoy or Travefy instead of a blank page. The planner is at the top of this page. Plans are $19, $39 and $79 a month, or half that billed annually, and an account opens with a one-time demo. For how advisors fit the drafting step next to the CRM they already run, see AI for travel agents.

Yes. TravelJoy supports team owners, team members and assistants, with shared templates, commission splits and teamwide reporting. TravelJoy sells seats for team members at a discounted rate that TravelJoy shows only inside its app. The TravelJoy team owner decides whether the agency or the advisor pays for each seat, and TravelJoy limits team membership to employees or contractors of the owner's agency.
