Rydoo prices per user and SAP Concur prices per expense report, and that one difference decides which is cheaper for your company. Rydoo Expense costs $9 per user a month on Essentials and $11 on Pro with annual billing, from 5 users. Concur Expense starts at approximately $7 per expense report on Base and $11 per report on Plus, with unlimited users. If the average person on Rydoo Pro files fewer than about 1.6 reports a month, Concur Base costs less; above that, Rydoo Pro does. Every Rydoo figure here was read off rydoo.com/pricing in US dollars from a US connection in October 2026, and every Concur figure off concur.com.

Below is what each one charges, the break-even worked out, the math at three team sizes, how each handles business travel, and a straight answer on which one to buy.

How much does Rydoo cost compared to Concur?

Rydoo costs $9 or $11 per user a month on its two self-service plans with annual billing, while Concur Expense costs approximately $7 or $11 per expense report. For a 10 person team where everyone files one report a month, that is $1,080 a year on Rydoo Essentials and about $840 on Concur Base. The cheaper tool depends on how many reports your people file, not on the sticker price.

Rydoo publishes those numbers next to a currency selector, so a US buyer can see dollars before talking to anyone. Rydoo Business and Enterprise sit behind a quote, and on those two plans Rydoo bills only active users. The full plan by plan breakdown, including what Pro adds over Essentials and which integrations are paid add-ons, is on our Rydoo pricing page.

SAP publishes less. The approximately $7 per report applies to Base, SAP says the rate falls as contracted volume rises and varies with the monthly commitment, Plus starts at $11 per report and Premium has no number at all. There is no checkout on concur.com. Our Concur Expense pricing page covers the editions and the Automate, Insights and Optimize packages in detail.

The break-even between per user and per report pricing

Divide the Rydoo price per user by the Concur price per report and you get the number of reports a month at which they cost the same. Below that line Concur is cheaper, above it Rydoo is.

Pairing Rydoo, per user a month Concur, per report Break-even reports per person a month
Rydoo Essentials vs Concur Base $9 About $7 1.3
Rydoo Pro vs Concur Base $11 About $7 1.6
Rydoo Pro vs Concur Plus $11 From $11 1.0

The pattern is simple. A company where most people file one report a month, or none, pays less on Concur, because a person who files nothing costs nothing there. A company of road warriors who file a report per trip, two or three times a month, pays less on Rydoo, because Rydoo charges the same for the tenth expense as the first. Before you trust either quote, pull twelve months of your own report counts. Most finance teams overestimate the people who file and underestimate how often the frequent travelers do.

Rydoo vs Concur cost for 10, 25 and 50 people

The table uses annual billing on Rydoo and the published starting rates on Concur, at two filing patterns. It is list price on both sides, before any discount you negotiate.

Team and filing pattern Rydoo Essentials a year Rydoo Pro a year Concur Base a year, about $7 a report
10 people, 1 report each a month $1,080 $1,320 $840
10 people, 3 reports each a month $1,080 $1,320 $2,520
25 people, 1 report each a month $2,700 $3,300 $2,100
25 people, 2 reports each a month $2,700 $3,300 $4,200
50 people, 1 report each a month $5,400, though Rydoo steers this size to Business $6,600 $4,200

At 50 people the comparison shifts again, because Rydoo Business bills active users only. If 20 of those 50 never file in a given month, Rydoo's quote should be built on 30, which pulls it back toward the Concur number. Ask Rydoo to define active in the contract, since that definition is the whole saving.

Is Rydoo cheaper than Concur for a small business?

For a small US business, Rydoo is usually easier to buy and Concur is often cheaper on paper. Rydoo Essentials needs no sales call and costs $45 a month at the 5 user minimum. Concur Base wins on low filing volume, but it needs a demo, a quote and a monthly commitment before you see your rate. Teams that file per trip, more than once a month, end up paying less on Rydoo.

There is a third option that many small teams skip. If the real need is getting receipts into QuickBooks without retyping them, a QuickBooks receipt scanner may cover it at a lower cost than either platform, and the approval workflow can wait until the team grows. Our Concur pricing for small business guide lists the four costs that sit outside the Concur per report rate, which is where small companies get surprised.

How Rydoo and Concur handle business travel

Neither price above includes booking a flight. Rydoo does not run a booking engine. Rydoo's travel page names three partners, BCD Travel, Amex GBT Egencia and Perk, whose bookings sync into Rydoo as expenses ready for the traveler to check and submit. Each partner bills its own booking fees, and Rydoo lists the Egencia connector as an add-on on Business and Enterprise.

Concur sells its own online booking tool, Concur Travel, billed on trips booked at a rate SAP does not publish. Concur Travel is a booking tool rather than an agency, so ticketing, changes and out-of-hours help come from a travel management company you appoint and pay separately. SAP's own packaged answer is Complete by SAP Concur and Amex GBT. Our Concur Travel pricing page walks through that two contract structure.

So with either vendor a company with real travel pays at least two bills: the expense software and the booking side. What neither one does is decide the trip. Someone still works out which days the client meetings fall on, whether two cities belong in one trip and what the whole thing should cost before it is booked. TripAgent.ai writes that plan, a day by day itinerary with a price on every line, from $49 a month, so the amount that later shows up in Rydoo or Concur as an expense was agreed before anyone traveled. The business travel planner shows what that looks like for a work trip.

Which features each one is built for

Rydoo's strength is international expense compliance. Rydoo says it supports expenses in 130+ countries and maintains tax, VAT, per diem and mileage rules for 45+ countries, and per diems come in from the Pro plan. For a US company with staff filing in Europe, that saves real work. Rydoo also lists automatic matching of Visa, Mastercard, Amex and AirPlus card transactions on Pro.

Concur's strength is depth and reach. Concur integrates most deeply with SAP's own ERP, lists over 700 integration options, and handles multi-entity, multi-currency programs at a scale few vendors match. It is also the platform most US travel management companies already connect to. A company with an SAP or Oracle ledger and an agency contract usually lands on Concur because it fits what is already there.

Which one should you buy?

Buy Rydoo if you are a US company of 5 to 30 people who want a published price and no sales cycle, if your people file more than about 1.6 reports a month each, or if you have employees filing in Europe and want local tax and per diem rules handled. Pro, not Essentials, is the plan to price if your books are in QuickBooks or Xero.

Buy Concur if most of your staff rarely file, so per report pricing works in your favor, if you run SAP or Oracle, or if your travel agency already plugs into Concur. Accept that you will negotiate the rate rather than read it.

Either way, the expense tool records what a trip cost after it happened. If the larger problem is that trips keep coming in over budget, the fix sits earlier: price Rydoo or Concur for the receipts, and plan and cost the trip before booking it.

Frequently asked questions

Is Rydoo cheaper than Concur?

It depends on report volume. Rydoo Pro at $11 per user a month costs the same as Concur Base at about $7 per report when each person files about 1.6 reports a month. Teams that file less pay less on Concur; teams that file more pay less on Rydoo. Rydoo's price is published, Concur's is quoted.

Does Concur charge per user?

No. SAP Concur Expense charges per expense report, starting at approximately $7 per report on Base and $11 on Plus, and every edition includes unlimited users. Rydoo is the opposite: it charges per user, $9 to $14 a month on its self-service plans, with a 5 user minimum.

Does Rydoo integrate with Concur Travel?

Rydoo does not list Concur Travel among its travel partners. Rydoo names BCD Travel, Amex GBT Egencia and Perk, and says other travel tools can be connected through its API. A company that wants to keep Concur Travel for booking would normally keep Concur Expense with it.

Do Rydoo and Concur have a free trial?

Neither offers a free plan. Rydoo sells Essentials and Pro online without a sales call and offers a demo for the larger plans. SAP Concur replaced its old Concur Expense free trial with a demo request form, with a short self guided product tour as the only thing open without sales.
